Cara Tweed, executive director
Cara, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is the founder of Music Outreach Collaborative. She holds degrees in Violin Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and Cleveland State University. She is a member of the Almeda trio, which is in residence at the Music Settlement, and the new music ensemble No Exit. Cara has a passion for teaching as well as performing. She is a member of the string faculty at The Music Settlement and the Aurora School of Music. Cara is a certified teacher of the Suzuki method and has recently received teacher training in the Mark O'Connor string method. In addition to her duties as the executive director for Music Outreach Collaborative she was recently made Chair of the String Department at The Music Settlement.

Our Mission: The Music Outreach Collaborative educates, enriches and engages
by providing musical programs to organizations that serve
communities with limited access to music.
Our Vision: The enjoyment of live music has a positive effect on
an individual and a community. Skills learned through active audience
participation will shape relationships within the community. Music should
be freely accessible to everyone.
